When you enter the PfS assessment area, you firstly enter your client code, access code and password. These are then transmitted to the PfS server and the system checks that the codes and password are valid. The server then sends back information regarding the tests and questionnaires you need to take.
At this point, you will be asked to enter your name, sex, age and e-mail address. We need to know your e-mail address in order to send you any feedback reports which our client may have requested for you. You may also be asked for details of your ethnic background. Information on age, sex and ethnic background is collected in order to ensure that the tests and questionnaires on PfS are fair for all people. Your information will not be disclosed to any third parties.
Sometimes you will be asked for additional information. If so, then this will have been requested by the organisation which asked you to take the assessments on this site. The information requested could be a reference number you have already been provided with, the title of a job you are applying for or similar. The organisation may have already explained more about why they require such information when contacting you previously.
Once all information has been entered, you will then see a screen showing you which tests are available for you to take. You can take as many of the available tests as you wish during a single session. Note however that you should not take any of the tests more than once. If you do only the results from your first attempt will normally be taken into consideration.
To take a test, click on its name, click on the Start Test button and then follow the instructions which will appear on the screen. Depending on the speed of your internet connection, the page may appear empty for a few seconds while the test is downloading from the server.
There will be full instructions for each test and also practice questions which you can try before you begin the test itself.
Once you have completed the test, you will be returned to the Test Selection area where you can take any more tests you wish to take. If you haven't got time to take all the tests in one go, you can always come back later to take more.
