How it works

A first-class facility available to the Careers Services and Students...

Careers Services

Setting up your own Profiling for Success assessment account is simple.  Access to the assessments is purchased on an annual basis, with costs based on the number of full- and part-time students at your institution.

There are six simple stages to setting up access to the assessments:

    1. choose whether you want the Reasoning Skills Tests, Personal Development Package or both;
    2. we will send you a simple licence agreement outlining our commitments to you and a few other points;
    3. we will send you a web link into the Profiling for Success assessment site, and a Client Code, Access Code and Password your students will need to access the assessments;
    4. you decide the ways you want to promote the assessments to your students (e.g. through a secure part of the university’s website, personal contact through the Careers Service);
    5. if you want, you can also take copies of our Self-Development webpages, adapt them to your needs and host them on your website (please contact us for further details and links to live examples);
    6. we will provide you with quarterly usage reports so you can monitor how many assessments your students are taking.

Throughout your set-up of the assessment system, Team Focus will be available to support, advise and offer any training you and your colleagues need to ensure you are getting maximum benefit from the Profiling for Success system.

Students

Once an account has been set-up, students need the link to the Profiling for Success website, the Client Code, Access Code and Password.

When in the Profiling for Success System they:

  • enter an e-mail address for their report to be returned t;
  • pick the assessment they want to complete;
  • complete the assessment;
  • choose whether they want to complete another assessment now or return again later.

Personalised feedback reports, designed specifically for unsupervised assessment, are returned to the student almost immediately be e-mail.  It’s that easy – to try it yourself, contact us.

We work with you

When you set up a PfS account for your university, we will work with you to ensure that you and your colleagues are familiar with the assessments and the models that underpin them.  By collecting and sharing examples of how other Careers Services are using the assessments we are building a growing resource for practitioners, and helping make career and personal development an integral part of a student’s time at university.
