The TDI® brings a new dimension to the model of Psychological Type – the most widely used model of personality. A truly developmental approach to personality
Psychological Type is one of the most powerful models for stimulating the personal insight that is core to development. The TDI® gives you a window into the far-reaching model of Type that can be applied to:
- communication
- team-working
- work styles
- leadership
- learning
- career choice
- development needs
- problem-solving
- dealing with conflict
- managing change
- getting results
- key assets.
Specific applications of the Type model through the TDI® include:
- increasing personal effectiveness – providing a framework within which to understand behaviour and increase flexibility;
- increasing interpersonal effectiveness – developing team performance through introducing a common language for communication and understanding;
- career development and guidance – making more effective career decisions by through exploring how personal preferences relate to careers and specific job roles.
One model, three options
The TDI® is available in three versions:
- TDI® ‘is’ provides a 64-item self-report assessment of 16 personality types;
- TDI® ‘is/want’ expands on the TDI® ‘is’ by asking respondents to respond to each statement ‘how it is’ and ‘how they would like it to be’;
- The TDI Pictorial ‘is’ uses graphics and simple language, making it suitable for young people aged 12 and above.
Advanced analysis and reporting
Each version of the TDI® comes with a range of report options. Detailed analysis of item-level responses allows in-depth, data-rich reports of preference to be generated for advanced interpretation. A range of narrative reports is also available, supporting both experienced type users and respondents through the exploration of their type preferences and their application to areas such as work, learning and career development.
For users of the tools on paper, the PfS data entry facility allows online entry of data for automated scoring and access to the full range of reports available from the online assessments.
The online advantage
Our online system works the way you want to, giving you the option of using the TDI® at a time that suits your development needs, controlling which reports are produced and who receives them.
Designed for you
The PfS assessment system can be readily tailored to your needs. Company sponsored entry pages can be designed to reflect your branding and company logos included on reports.
